Timber Restoration Services (TRS) is a leader in the timber construction industry with offices in Canada, USA, and Australia who specializes in the construction, repair and restoration of new or existing timber structures. Our portfolio includes road, railway and pedestrian bridges, mass timber structures, commercial, residential, and industrial buildings as well as specialty structures such as towers, airport hangars and historical buildings.
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented leader for the role of Project Manager to manage construction projects across Canada. The Project Manager will lead a team of field crews and work with the engineering team to ensure projects are constructed in accordance with the design drawings, tender specifications, and applicable standards and safety regulations. Occasionally the Project Manager may support projects in other countries including the USA and Australia. This position reports to the General Manager, TRS Canada.
The Project Manager is responsible for the successful management and execution of timber construction projects. The Project Manager will execute project planning from conception to completion including estimating, scheduling, leading the field team, managing budgets, and resolving engineering issues working with the Engineer of Record. The Project Manager may also assist in the design of temporary construction works including shoring, retaining walls, crane lifts, and cofferdams.
Other accountabilities include construction inspection, setting work priorities and schedules, client liaison, providing expertise and support to field crews, developing construction plans and details, developing traffic control and shop drawing review.
- Professional Engineer or PMP designation with 10 years experience.
- Ability to obtain valid passport and driver's license
- Professional Attitude
- Structural Engineering background is preferred.
- Proven working experience in construction management
- Leadership and human resource skills.
- Demonstrates the ability to work safely.
- Ability to work at heights with fall protection.
- Relevant Timber Engineering or Timber Construction experience.
- Relevant field experience.
- Competent in conflict and crisis management.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Excellent computer/spreadsheet skills
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Must pass Level I and Level II Certified company offered Timber Courses with 70% or better.

- Willing and able to travel
- Have a valid driver's license
- Must pass criminal background check, and pre-screening drug test
- Willing/able to work in all weather conditions
- Willing/able to work from ladders, scaffolding, bucket trucks, cherry pickers, scissor lifts, etc.
- Trustworthy and of good character
For candidates with the required skills, this position can progress to Designer, Team Lead or Project Manager

Willing to travel and work in all provinces in Canada and possibly Australia & USA
