About us

We exist to change the standard for timber. Permanently

Wood is humanity’s oldest trusted building material. We’re the firm rebuilding the world’s confidence in it, one structure engineered to outlast us all.

Our story

Redefining timber construction with global excellence

Timber Restoration Services was founded in 2005 to set a new global standard for excellence in timber structure construction, restoration, and education.

We are more than builders, executing your designs and drawings. Instead, we are pioneers, constantly challenging our own methods, and industry standards, to find better ways to construct, repair, and restore timber structures. We’re also vertically integrated, we inspect, engineer, fabricate, and install with our own people, under one accountable roof.

Our unsurpassed focus on quality has earned global recognition. TRS is the only wood structure repair firm in the world to receive an ISO 9001 certification, which means we have consistently demonstrated our ability to deliver products and services that meet and exceed regulatory requirements.

We will bring our industry-defining innovation and quality standards to your project, whether it’s a state-of-the-art new mass timber construction project or a heritage structure another firm told you couldn’t be saved.

The end result will be an aesthetically beautiful, structurally sound, and environmentally sustainable structure that will stand for the next generation and beyond.

Engineering pedigree, not sales pitches

The work is led by the disciplines that make timber dependable, structural engineering, materials science, and master craft. A proprietary patent portfolio anchors the technology; the team carries it into the field.

Proprietary patented IP

40+ patents across reinforcement and decay-detection systems, the proprietary IP behind everything we build.

Structural engineers

Load-path analysis, capacity design, and certification documentation your reviewers can sign off on.

Certification you can audit, not just take our word for

Our ISO 9001 quality management system governs every assessment, design, and build, the governance signal public-sector and engineering buyers look for before they commit.
