Questions we hear most

Built and maintained to the TRS standard, a timber bridge or structure lasts 100+ years — minimum. That’s not optimism; it’s what timber is capable of when the workmanship, treatment, and maintenance are done right. Concrete typically manages 50–70.

It means every assessment, design decision, and build step is governed by a documented, auditable quality management system. For public-sector and engineering buyers, that’s the difference between trusting a claim and being able to verify it.

Usually, yes. Our FiRP® reinforcement panels — the Retroshear® panel for shear and the Retroten® panel for tension — add 50–100% design stiffness in place, and decay detection testing finds hidden decay before it becomes failure — so we keep the original timber standing rather than tearing it out. Replacement is the last resort.

We’ve completed projects in 55 countries across 6 continents. Our offices are in the USA, Canada, and Australia, but distance has never set the limit — we ship shop-built structures worldwide for new builds and replacements, and our crews travel to the site for restoration and reinforcement work. Tell us where your project is and we’ll tell you honestly what’s feasible.

Every structure is assembled and load-tested in our climate-controlled facility before it ships. You see it proven before it reaches your site, which removes field surprises, compresses on-site time, and protects your schedule and budget.

One of our builders reviews your structure and gets back to you, usually within two business days. From there we scope an assessment and walk you through an engineered, ISO 9001-documented path forward — quoted to your structure, not a template.
