There are many aspects that make companies successful; great people, innovative products, and strong brands. Those companies will find that it’s harder and harder to keep everything running smoothly as they grow. This is really where an ISO 9001 Certification starts to become important. This certification aims to establish a Quality Management System within a firm as a way to ensure that customers are satisfied with their level of service, products are meeting high standards, and methods are being
improved to bring more value. This is an achievement that tells the world that an organization has established the processes and controls to exceed customer expectations.
TRS made the decision a few years ago to take the great work that was being done and build a Quality Management System around it. With the help of a proven consulting firm, the TRS team came together to collaborate on how this system would work in our specific environment. The timber structure industry requires a company to be flexible and creative in finding solutions to customer problems. This meant that a quality system was needed that would allow the flexibility required while still maintaining the necessary controls. That challenge was put to the team and they went to work.
In May of 2021, Timber Restoration Services was awarded their FIRST EVER ISO 9001 Certification. The resulting system was designed so well that the certification audit resulted in no system nonconformance findings whatsoever. This is such a great achievement for TRS and the employees that work so hard to make the business a success. Their customers can rest easy knowing that they have passed the test and have a validated system that will meet their needs. This will only work to propel TRS into future successes and achievements. As of now, TRS is the ONLY wood structure restoration and repair company in the world. Our competition cannot say the same for themselves.
Everyone played a role in this process and helped substantially by providing the feedback needed to get to where we are today and should be proud of this united team accomplishment!
