TIMBER QUALITY POLICY.
Our commitment to you, your community, and your project
You deserve more than the industry standard
To make sure we’re delivering you the highest possible quality, we have created our own standard. What our industry requires may suffice for other firms, but it’s not enough for us.
That’s why we built a Quality Management System (QMS), which balances needed flexibility for innovation on each project with the need for consistent quality controls.
In recognition of our hard work, in May of 2021, TRS was awarded an ISO 9001 Certification, making us the first and only wood structure repair firm in the world to receive this accreditation.
ISO 9001 is an international standard that defines the requirements for a quality management system (QMS).
Being ISO 9001 certified means TRS has consistently demonstrated its ability to deliver products and services that meet and exceed regulatory requirements.
This is especially important in manufacturing and construction, where quality control is crucial to the success of the project.
Our Committment to you
TRS aligned the QMS with its mission and vision to provide a framework for objective setting and review. The policy reaffirms its commitment to meeting customer requirements and continually improving the management system.
Customer focus
As an organization, TRS has made a commitment to understand our current and future customers’ needs, meet their requirements, and strive to exceed their expectations.
Leadership
Our top management team has committed to creating and maintaining a working environment in which people become fully involved in achieving our objectives.
Engagement of people
As an organization, TRS recognizes that people are the essence of any good business and that their full involvement enables their abilities to be used for our benefit.
Process approach
TRS recognizes that a desired result is achieved more efficiently when activities and related resources are managed as a process or series of interconnected processes.
Improvement
TRS is committed to continually improving all aspects of our quality management system; it is one of our main annual objectives. Evidence-based decision making: As an organization, TRS has committed to only making decisions relating to our QMS following an analysis of relevant data and information.
Relationship management
As an organization, TRS recognizes that a relationship with external providers that is interdependent and mutually beneficial enhances the ability of both to create value. It is the policy of Timber Restoration Services to also meet the requirements of other interested parties including our social, environmental, charitable, regulatory, and legislative responsibilities. The quality objective of Timber Restoration Services reflects this.
What you would lose, if you went with another firm
The unfortunate reality with timber restorations and construction projects is that the standard industry requirements are insufficient.
When you choose a firm that may work with timber, but for whom timber is not their bread and butter, you’re taking the risk that they will make the wrong choices, in moments of uncertainty, and compromise the longevity of your project.
Because timber is our passion and focus, we know exactly what kind of wrap to apply to wood that’s awaiting production, even though “the book” gives no specific recommendations, leaving builders with more than 500 different options.
This is one of countless instances when expertise is necessary. While many other firms may be well-intentioned, their daily choices in sourcing, storing, and utilizing timber are unknowingly reducing the quality of their projects.
Hiring a firm that dabbles in timber may save you a few dollars in the short term, but selecting a leading firm like TRS is less expensive in the long term, when you will have fewer repairs, headaches, and even risks to the safety of everyone who utilizes your structure.
When you want safety, reliability, and longevity for your wood structure, there is no better choice than TRS.
