In 2015, we were tasked by the Cassowary Coast Regional Council (CCRC) to replace the deck and superstructure on top of the existing substructure and restore the Utchee Creek Bridge #1 to a T44 load rating. In this project, there were 3 bridges that needed work, but the bridge in the video above is bridge 1. Construction for this bridge took 11 days from start to finish. Concrete bridges cannot be built this fast, why go with them? Timber bridges are so much easier to put up, they cost less, and they’re more environmentally friendly
